My name is John and welcome to my blog! I am a 23 year old currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at the Oregon State University. I live in Corvallis obviously but I am originally from Bangladesh far away in Asia. I have had a passion for computing ever since I was young and I haven’t looked back since then.
But what intrigues me the most about computers is the world wide web! I know a fair bit of web development and have been doing some projects for quite some time. However, the biggest problem which I’ve found while developing websites is the cost it takes to host a website, especially if you are hosting multiple websites. And many people whom I’ve met while developing websites – both clients and fellow web developers also state the same issue whenever there’s a need to host a lot of websites. Web-hosting services can easily cost you a lot of money and if you have a lot of websites to host, the costs quickly add up.
And this is when I got an Idea! Why not get all the resources and get a very own web server of mine up and running! The task is hardly rocket science stuff but it is no easy job either. A proper web server requires a careful and able hardware setup as well as some background knowledge about the software configurations. An important part of this entire setup is the cooling system which you have to put in place because the server can heat up very fast.
I’ll be talking about each and every part of the entire process in much more detail in the posts that I’ll be starting real soon. So stay tuned and keep visiting my blog!
